COMPOSITION: Levofloxacin 125 Mg
FORMULATION: Syrup
Description: Loxasafe Syrup contains Levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, thus preventing replication and repair of bacterial DNA. It is effective against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.

* Indications:
  • Upper and Lower Respiratory Tract Infections
  • Sinusitis
  • Otitis Media
  • Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
  • Gastrointestinal Infections


* Pharmacokinetics: Rapidly absorbed orally, with high bioavailability. Excreted primarily via kidneys.
Side Effects: * Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
* Headache or dizziness
* Abdominal discomfort
* Rarely: Joint or muscle pain, insomnia, rash
* Serious (rare): Tendon rupture, QT prolongation, photosensitivity

Precautions: Avoid in children with tendon disorders, those with known hypersensitivity to quinolones, or with epilepsy. Use cautiously in patients with kidney disease.
