Alfuzosin is an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker that relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces the size of the prostate by decreasing dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels.
