| Description: | AGROCINE 500 Injection contains Amikacin Sulfate, a semi-synthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic derived from kanamycin A. It is highly effective against a wide range of gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Serratia, and Acinetobacter species. Amikacin works by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacterial cells, inhibiting protein synthesis and ultimately leading to bacterial death. It is particularly effective in treating hospital-acquired infections and is often used when other antibiotics have failed or are contraindicated.
